Kiss Me!

This is a really plain simple LO based on the Sketch at Dollies . I completed this morning, while the kids were all still sleeping.
Everytime you ask Sydney for a kiss, you get adorable fishy lips. I tried and tried to get a picture of them. This is the best one I could get! This makes my Dollies challenges for this month total 10!

First Haircut!

I seen the color challenge this week at Dollies and I thought how am I going to make that work. But then I found these pictures of Syd, with Navy blue on the neck of her shirt, and a Jean Jacket on.
This was her first haircut. We told her we were going to get her haircut and she was all excited, but by the time it was her appointment, she was sleeping. And not too happy about getting woke up in the haircutting chair!

We are planning on leaving for the weekend. Going to go see the kids Great Grandma! Have a lovely weekend. It's supposed to be nice and sunny here for the next couple days. Then back to more rain.

A new Dollie Recipe!

I seen this weeks sketch at Dollies and thought of the perfect pictures to go with it. I had to do some altering since I scrap mostly in 8 1/2 x 11. I started out scrapping that way over 12 years ago. And have yet to change! After digging out the pictures, I thought they would go great with the Dollies color combo for the week. The colors for this week are Royal Blue, Aqua, and Orange. I ended up having to add a neutral into the mix. But here's my Layout:

This happened at the beginning of the year. My 2 year old, fell on a axle for one of the boys pinewood derby car. She had it as far into her hand as it would go. Ended up going to the E.R. to get it removed. Also I now have beaten my goal of 7 Dollies challenges. I have completed 8 out of the 9. Maybe I'll get to the Elements challenge for this month....

Knitting Hair accesories

Last night while watching a movied with the kids, I knitted up these ponytail holders for the girls. I find it easier to knit and watch movies than try to scrap. I also added a flower I had knitted a few weeks ago to a hair clip for my daughter.

This week I've also gotten lots of goodies in the mail. I ordered two books, 52 scrapbooking challenges by Elsie Flannigan and 52 more scrapbooking challenges by Elizabeth Kartchner. And recieved them both within a day of each other. I've already completed one challenge. 103 more to go!! Plus the other day I got a sweet little card and some scrapping goodies from my friend CindyP, (thank you)! Well that's about it for now.

Dollie Trifecta!!!

I'm 3 more closer to my goal of 7 dollie challenges for the month! With this card I now have 6 done! The Dollies color challenge this week is Kraft, White, and Yellow. My card is mainly those colors except for the coloring, and the sentiment stickers. The elements challenge this week is a Tv Theme Song. I don't have cable at home. And rarely get to watch T.V. shows. We do borrow lots of movies from the library and rent some, for at bedtime to wind down. But other than that, we don't get much t.v.. So this one was hard. My 2 year old, had on a shirt that said Happy Days, and I figuired the TV, show Happy Days should work for this challenge, therefore the title. The card is loosley based on Dollies sketch for this week. I'm sorry for the colors, but it is rainy here.

Another one for the Dollies!

My goal this month is to complete 7 of the design dollies challenges for the month. Not sure how that is going to work out, because I'll be busy getting the 3 of the kids ready for school this year. But here is what I did with this weeks Sketch from the dollies .
It's from 2003 when we took the boys to the circus. And I made a page to go with it.
I know it needs something else added to it. I'm pretty sure there should be other pictures of this event. And I'm planning on adding journaling. But I think I'm going to sort through my thousands of pictures to see if I can find anymore. I'm also entering this into Cute Card Thursdays whateva challenge.

Dollies, Friends and a Birthday Card!

I've been in a scrappy mood lately.

This first one is for 5challenges! First it is for Dollies elements challenge, friendship. It also is for Pile it on butterflys(on the patterned paper), Pennys challenges anything goes, Mels Jens Design they want clean and simple (one embellie, a simple background made from scraps-simple), and finally at Shelley's Images this place is a zoo challenge, (sometimes with two toddlers around it can feel like a zoo. Next I made a card, not too fond of this one.

The card is based on 2 challenges: Partytime Tuesdays is looking for summer birthday cards, and at 365 Card Day 158 is a recipe challenge (5x5 card, 2 pattern papers, an image, a sentiment and 2 buttons.

The Color Purple!

Over at Design Dollies the color challenge was purple, olive green and cream. As soon as I seen purple I was thinking no way would I get to this challenge. Well looking through photos for some other challenges I ran across the perfect pictures for the Design Dollies color challenge.

My daughter Syd in a purple shirt painting her nails. Over at Digi Doodle the challenge was to use a punch or cutting machine. I used my cricut to cut out the word "nails" and to make the circles. I also used a star punch. And over at Stamp and Create the challenge was flowers. I layered a purple and green flower with a button.
