Scrap Jar Quilt

I know I've shared this quilt before. It's the first quilt I've ever made. This one I made for my youngest daughter. I even machine quilted it myself.

Here is the back:

I originally made the scrappy strips to add to the front for a border, but my daughter didn't like that idea. So I added them to the back of the quilt.

I'm entering this into the Blogger's Quilt Festival Scrappy Quilts.

  1. Crystal, I think your quilt is lovely. Someday I hope to make a scrappy star quilt too.

    1. Thank you! When I was a teenager I used to go to my aunts and sew squares together for quilts, but we never ever finished them (unless she finished them by herself) and I don't know what happened to them.

  4. I like the corner squares that make a secondary block. Quite a lovely setting. Hard to believe it's your first!
