I completed another scrapbook page yesterday. This one is going to go in my oldest son's book. This is the first time he held his little brother. My mom went and set his brother in his lap.
I'm in a couple stash busting scrapbook groups and in one of them they put up a sketch to use. I used 22 eyelets and 3 of my big brads on this layout.

Lucky
I haven't scrapped in over a month. It felt good to get back into my pictures. (I'm still quilting the car blanket-we took a little trip this weekend to visit my FIL in the hospital)
This picture is from 2 years ago. Hard to believe my youngest will be 3 this week!
There is a crop happening on the Paper Issues FB page and one of the challenges is to use the word Lucky or the color green on a project. I started flipping through a stack of pictures and this one jumped out at me, all 3 of my boys wearing green and the youngest ones shirt says Lucky on it!
I hope to scrap a few more pictures this week.

Work in Progress Wednesday
Here's what has me busy.
I bought 4 connector panels . (I'm a little bit upset, I went to the website to link up and they have 2 panels that weren't there before-the race car and construction- would have loved to get those instead of harbor and train track-but he loves it-so that's what counts!) Sewed them together in 2 rows of 2, and now I'm quilting around all the buildings, signs, cars, planes. I'm about half way done.

Red
The color for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge this month is Red.
Here's my red basket at the beginning of the week.
First thing I did was make the remaining red cats I need for my rainbow cat quilt. All I need to finish now is the orange cats.
Then I did 3 Blocks for the Solstice Challenge.
Block #10Coffee Shop.
Block #9 Among the Stars. I decided to do all 12x12 blocks in a rainbow quilt, but I'm really loving the other design and I might just have to make it sometime.
Block #11 Quilt Math.
All 3 blocks.
Than I did 8 6.5" blocks.
After that I cut all my red scraps up into usable bricks and squares. (I also have some fabric in bigger chunks, which I left)
And here's my red basket after the week.

Baby Gift
My sister's baby shower was yesterday. She's had a few miscarriages and now she is expecting a baby girl in April.
Here's the gift we brought for the shower.
My sister mentioned these burp cloths, so I whipped these two up a couple days before the shower. I was hoping to make a batman one to, but I couldn't find my yellow flannel, maybe I used it all.
My Brother-in-Law likes batman, so I made 2 batman bibs. I got to practice on my embroidery machine!
My sister loves elephants. This is a taggie toy made with some leftover fabric from this quilt that I gave to her a few months ago.
I found a simplicity pattern in my stash for pj's. I seen the 1/2 size and assumed it was 6 months. Nope-it's 3t.
Here's an elephant bib I made for her. (The pacifier says #Spoiled)
And I guess I don't have a closeup picture of the headband I made, and the cards picture was taken with my phone, so I'll share that later.

Now I know my ABC's.
So my blog has been a little bit quiet while I've been working on a ABC book for my youngest:
This is a huge book. I used this pattern.
But I added batting in between the pages since I thought it was too floppy and than I sewed the binding, instead of button holes. I didn't think my button foot would survive going through the batting.
A and B (I think Bear needs something)
C and D (Dog ears folded)
C and D (Dog ears unfolded)
E and F. E is an envelope to tuck stuff into.
G and H. (H is my sons hands, he love that!)
I and J
K and L.
M and N
O and P.
Q and R.
S and T.
U and V.
W and X
Y and Z.
Linking to Sarah's, and Amanda's.
