Cat Quilt
It's been quite a while since I last posted. First the whole family got sick-we had strep, ear infections and bronchitis going around. Everybody is all better now!!
I did get to work on my cat quilt, in between taking gun safety with one of my girls, and going to other school activities.
I had the quilt all laid out on my bed, and my 12 year old daughter came over to me with my camera and this picture. A cat on a cat quilt!
I got the whole top sewn together!! Now it will probably be a while before I get to quilting it. Summer vacation is coming in a month!!
Linking up with Amanda, and Sarah.

Orange cats
Our plans for the weekend ended up getting changed. We were supposed to go to South Dakota and meet our new nephew, but a car ended up breaking down. So today I took out my orange scraps and finished up the orange cats.

Playmat
I finished #1 from my list.
This is made from 4 connector play mat panels, that I bought at Missouri Star Quilt Company.
I quilted around each car, tree, sign, I left the road clear of quilt lines.

I spy..
Over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, the theme this month is all mixed up.
I decided to go through my I spy fabrics and get them cut and organized into usable sizes.
Here's my bucket after cutting and organizing into different sizes. Plus I added some to what was originally in the basket.
And after pulling out a drawer of fabric I found even more that I could add to this, but there is no room. Good thing I have plans for a couple I spy quilts. (Need to finish a couple projects before I start them though.)

Finish-A-Long-Q2
It's time to make a list for Q2 of the 2017 Finish-A-Long Challenge .
My list is going to look a lot like my Q1 list .
1. I need to finish quilting this play mat for my 3 year old.
2. This I Spy Quilt. I'm thinking of tying this one. (Which I've never done, but my mom said she will help me.)
3. I would like to get the Winter Solstice Quilt done. (I'm not even sure when the last block comes out, so this will most likely end up on Q3!)
4. My rainbow cat quilt. (All I have left is the orange cats, I was really hoping that the color picked for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge was orange this month.
5. My Splendid Sampler Quilt (Going to add borders to this one)
6. I need to finish this Jelly Roll Race Quilt.
7. And this mini quilt.
8. And this machine cover.
9. Now that I'm quilting that other playmat, not sure what I'll do with this. If I'll finish it, or pack it away.
10. And this Crazy Quilt.

Challenge updates
This month over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, this month's challenge is Multicolor fabric.
I'm going to dig into my novelty bin and cut these up into usable pieces. I have plans for a few different I spy quilts. One I hope to make and give as a Christmas present to my brother's family.
And this month at All People Quilt UFO challenge the number picked was 11.
My #11 is my Splendid Sampler Quilt. At the time I made the list I had 71 blocks. I now have 83 blocks done. I've sewn 80 of them into a quilt top. I plan on adding a border to this quilt and than quilting it.
