My big project.....
I know I've hinted a few times about my big project for my nephew or christmas and never posted it so here it is:
A car mat!! And he loves it!!!
I found different ideas on pinterest, and went from there. My kids all got into helping design it. It needed apples on the trees, the stop signs, Wal-mart... lots of ideas.. one of them also wanted me to make him another one with an airport, or a bunch more that all connect to the roads I already made (that didn't happen)!

A tie and a stocking..
So since I finished the big project I was working on for my nephew I have been able to play around with other crafts.I'll be posting the big project soon!
I made a tie for my nephew to wear. Maybe he'll wear it to his uncles wedding.
I kept having Syd model it and she kept telling me this isn't mine. Now she wants a purple one.
Mady decided that the cat that we saved, needed a stocking for christmas. The kids found an orphaned kitty in October. No mom around, and we had to bottle feed it to keep it alive. They named him Cupcake.

Playing with Fabric scraps
So I was on Pinterest yesterday and seen this pin
And since I have a bunch of fabric scraps, and I cut a bunch of 5" squares from newspaper.
Then I sewed a bunch of scraps onto the paper (following the directions from pin)
Then I sewed all the squares together.
By this time one of my neices came over and helped me tear off all the newspaper from the back. She kept telling me how much she liked this little doll blanket and how I'm her best Auntie. Since Mady didn't like it(not sure about Syd), my little neice might be getting it for christmas (if I can get it quilted and binding on it!)
