Seeing Stars Quilt Along

Over at Happy Quilting, Melissa is having a quilt along. While I was digging through my fabrics, I found these:

Fabric I won from Melissa in 2014. I think I might use these for the quilt along.

I Spy

I went to put some fabric in my I Spy box, and noticed it was a mess. So I spent a some time cutting up fabric scraps into usable sizes:

All put back in box. (Wish I would have taken a before picture.)

I spy..

Over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, the theme this month is all mixed up.

I decided to go through my I spy fabrics and get them cut and organized into usable sizes.

Here's my bucket after cutting and organizing into different sizes. Plus I added some to what was originally in the basket.

And after pulling out a drawer of fabric I found even more that I could add to this, but there is no room. Good thing I have plans for a couple I spy quilts. (Need to finish a couple projects before I start them though.)

Now I know my ABC's.

So my blog has been a little bit quiet while I've been working on a ABC book for my youngest:

This is a huge book. I used this pattern.

But I added batting in between the pages since I thought it was too floppy and than I sewed the binding, instead of button holes. I didn't think my button foot would survive going through the batting.

Fabric

I mentioned before that I really want to do the splendid sampler quilt along. This morning I picked out some fabric to use.

I'm so excited for this quilt along to start.
