What I'm working on...

I'm finally working on quilting a quilt top I've had done forever!!

I'm half way done!! I want to keep working but my arms and shoulders are SORE!

Maybe one day I will own a long arm machine and won't have to quilt this way! Linking to:Sarah and Amanda.

Envelopes

I picked up a book at the library the other day.

I have over 5 years worth of Family Fun magazines so I spent this morning making some envelopes.

Making progress

I'm making progress on my Splendid Sampler.

I completed 4 blocks in the last 3 days!!

First up is block #27, Sewing Machine.

Block #30, Simple Surprises .

Block 32, The Constant Needle .

And Block #25, Sunday Best.

A hat

I made my youngest a hat.

But then I couldn't stop at just one.

This little boy loves his hats.

Getting my fabric scraps organized!!

I completed 2 boxes from the book Sunday Morning Quilts.

A pink one..

And an I spy one.(For novelty fabrics)

My colored boxes. They make me so happy!!

I still need an orange one, a black, white, brown, and maybe gray... I just need more fabrics in those colors.

After I complete my cat quilt, I plan on cutting up these scraps into the following sizes: 2", 2.5", 3.5" and 5".

I'm thinking this would be a fun quilt to use up all my colored scraps from the cat quilt on.

Mother's Day Gift

My mom has been asking for an apron for a while so I finally made her one for Mother's day.

My oldest daughter now thinks she needs one.

To go with it I made a Recipe binder.

She loves it! The only thing is the directions called for a 1 1/2" binder and my cover wouldn't fit into a 1 1/2" binder, but it fit into a 1" binder. (Maybe I made mine too short!)

May's Goals

Over at Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Sarah asked us what are goals for May are.

I want to continue working on The Splendid Sampler .

Continue working on these little cat blocks.

I also want to finish at least one of these two quilts.

I think these would be done if I had a long arm machine. I'm working on piecing the backing for the gray/pink/purple quilt.

I would also love to get some time in for scrapbooking.
