Now I know my ABC's

It's finished!!

I started an ABC quilt after seeing Jo's ABC quilts. Here's a link to the letters.

I made the front with all scraps of fabric I had. Last year when I organized my bins and cut small fabric into 1 1/2" squares I wasn't sure I would ever use them. But they worked perfectly for the sashing for this quilt. The batting I used was also a piece I had in my craft room!

For the back I was debating about just piecing a back together, but I seen the airplane fabric at Walmart and bought it. I quilted with an all over stipple, leaving the letters not quilted so they pop a little bit. This is #10 on my UFO list.

These patterns have been on my list of wants for a while, and I got the panel because it was on sale. My three year old informed me it has his name on it so it's his. I asked where his name was and he points at the Fat Quarter Shop label.

Quilting

Today I'm quilting my ABC quilt on my sewing machine.

Baby Girl hat

My husband came home from ECFE with a note from a teacher. They wanted to know if I could knit up a baby girl hat for a baby shower she is going to.

After seeing Jo's ABC quilts, I decided I wanted to make one.

Here are all the letters.

Now to get the top sewn together with sashing.

This quilt will probably go to my niece, who just had her first baby yesterday, 7 weeks early.

Blue

Remember last year for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, I made a bunch of 6.5" squares in the colors. Here's some of the blue.

I decided to turn them into the RSC15 quilt.

I switched a few of the blocks around.

Memory Bear#5

I finished all 5 memory bears!!! (This is the one my husband claimed.)
