I got 10 blocks done for the Splendid Sampler.
I started out Appliqueing. I fused all the pieces onto these 5 blocks, and then sewed the pieces down all at the same time. This saved me from having to switch the thread multiple times.
Block #55 Dedication Rose
Block #56 At Home Anywhere
Block #63 The Icing on the Cake.
Block #68 Wild Roses
And the October Bonus Splendid Sampler Pumpkin.
Then I moved onto paper piecing, and completed 5 more blocks!!
Block #28 Stitching Fashion I've been avoiding this one since it came out, but I only had to rip out 2 seams!
Block #48 Whim
Block #54Shell.
This one gave me the most trouble. I had to rip out the same seam 4 times!! It could be because I was tired and dealing with crabby kids. After ripping out the same seam over and over, I decided it was time to take a break, get the kids to bed and finish it in the morning.
Block #58 Homeward Bound
Block #67Bobbin Chase.
45 blocks and 5 bonus blocks done!!

Project Life Week 10
One of the comments I got was if I ever share my Project Life (PL) on my blog. That made me realize, my blog has leaned towards sewing, quilting lately. When I first started this blog it was scrapbooking.
Here is my PL Week 10 layout I completed in September.
For this one I use artwork that my youngest son did in ECFE, (I'm trying to date all the kids artwork so I can include it when it was made/brought home). Since I don't keep all their artwork I thought I could cut his abstract painting up, use it as title, filler, journal cards for the week, and still have a piece of his artwork.
Maybe in the future I will take more photos of my layouts (different angles) to include in my blog.

Baby Hat
I got the hat done that my 8 year old wanted me to knit for a teacher she had last year. We went to deliver it today and the teacher had her baby boy on Monday. So we left it in her office with the substitute teacher who promised Sydney she would get it to her for her.

A sweater..
So I haven't knit in forever but seeing my sister and mom knitting I wanted to. I got some yarn and a pattern from my mom and made a sweater for my youngest.
My eight year old daughter told me the other day that one of teachers last year is pregnant and wants me to make a hat. Since we don't know what the baby is, I asked her what color would work for either a boy or girl and she said red. So that will be my next project.

Elephants on Parade
I can finally share the quilt I made- number 1 on this list. Gifted it to my sister and brother in law. My sister loves elephants.
A label I made for the back with my embroidery machine. My machine gave me hardly any trouble!! (need to practice more)
Pattern is on old quilt along, Elephants on Parade.

ABC Quilt
I finished this way back in August. As soon as it was done my youngest-he's 2- took the quilt from me and has been cuddling with it ever since. The whole time I was making it he would come check and let me know this one was his. With the completion of this quilt all 5 of my children now have their own quilts. Time to figure out what I want to make for me. (I have yet to make a quilt for myself).
Trying to get a picture of the quilt and Branson is right there ready to grab his quilt.
The label for the back. It didn't turn out quite like I had envisioned, but I'm still learning about my embroidery machine.
Linking up to Amanda's and Sarah's.

My list of sewing projects...
Over at She can quilt, they are having a FAL (Finish A-Long). And they are asking everyone to link up their list of projects that you wish to complete in the next 3 months.
I started going through all my sewing related projects and I made quite a list. In no particular order:
1. Complete the binding on a baby quilt that is for a gift. I hope to have this completed by next weekend.
(Finished, gifted and blogged.
2. Make a baby quilt for my niece. She is pregnant with her first baby. (Progress Done)
3. I want to make this card wallet for me.
4. Continue working on My Splendid Sampler. I have around 30 of the 60+ blocks that have been released.
5. I would love to get my rainbow cat quilt done.
6. Get this I spy quilt top done and put together. I participated in an I spy swap at Val's Quilting Studio this summer. I took up 2 spots and this is about half of my blocks I got back.
7. Get this car quilt done for my youngest. I started this quite a while ago and it keeps getting put at the end of my list.
8. My husband wants me to make a couple pillowcases from this fabric for gifts. (Done and blogged.)
9. My MIL asked me to embroider her SIL grandkids on this pillowcase to give to her.(done and blogged.)
10. I made this halloween costume for my youngest son last year. I know it will still fit him. So my plan is to stitch done the letters and wash it so he can use it again. (Blogged)
11. Get all my Christmas gifts done!! Lots of them going on. That is why my blog has been so quiet.( blogged)
12. Make a wall quilt from this pattern to hang in my mom's knitting room.
I have lots more projects I would love to do, but this is quite a list to tackle.

Watermelon
Its been a while since I've posted. I've been doing lots of secret sewing- Christmas Presents. But while I was shopping my oldest was with and he asked me if I would buy this watermelon fabric and make him a pillowcase. And since he never asks for me to make him anything I had to buy it and make him one.
