Top 10 Projects for 2011.

My top 10 projects, in no particular order.

Using my sewing machine for the first time.

A scrapbook page for my BOM.

A mini book for my mom.

My favorite card for the year. Love this technique.

A vest I knitted.

Knitted rings

A knitted fish hat.

Another LO for my BOM

A knitted necklace.

A picture frame.

My new obsession....

sewing doll clothes!

I got a sewing machine from my hubby for christmas. I haven't sewed with a machine in over 15 years! This was fun. I have another pattern all cut out a ready to sew later today. So you'll probably be seeing lots of sewing in the future.

And the best part, this was all made from old clothes.

Birthday Candy!

As part of my previous LO about LESS. I'm offering up some candy.

This is a bunch of stuff I have went through. Some of it is from Swaps and some homemade stuff from different people that I'm never going to use. There is a whole bag of Chipboard pieces that I haven't used that I bought a few years ago. There is too much to name. This candy will end on January 12th. And I plan to announce a winner on the 13th, (which happens to be my birthday!)
Just leave a comment on this post, and check back on the 13th to see if you won!

A Mini Book!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. Mady, 7, found the presents on the 23rd, and was all excited that Santa isn't real. So the boys stayed up and played elves on Christmas eve and got to help put the presents under the tree.

Over at Charisma , they are having an Anything goes challenge. And I finished this mini book in time to give it to the kids Grandma for Christmas. She LOVED it!

It's an Envelope mini book. Made all of materials I had on hand. The inserts are a list of questions and then I asked each of my 4 kids the questions seperately and wrote them down on pages for the book.

I made this page last night based a Scrapfit challenge. Your word of the year. My word is LESS. I chose this because I get stressed out a lot. So I want LESS STRESS. I'm also trying to clean out the house so there is LESS CLUTTER.
Very Simple page with LESS stuff on it!!!

Favorite

The weekly warmup over at Scrapfit is to post your favorite LO or card from 2011. I have made a total of 8 LO's and 19 Cards for the year. Pathetic... And what is with more cards than LO's? I'm not a big card maker.

But here is one of my favorite cards from the year.

I love that it is made from all scraps. I'm going to be making more of these cards in the future.

And some more cards.....

I think I'm hooked! I've never been a big cardmaker, but with these cards I don't have to color any images..(which I can't color to look good).

So here's some more:

For the following challenges: Clean and Simple has a sketch, and Scrapbook Sisters want to see Christmas.

This one is for the following challenges: Simply Create wants to see Christmas, and at Paper crafting they have an anything goes challenge.

And Mady got invited to a Birthday party which worked out great with the challenge at More than Favors , which want to see Birthdays. And at Lollipop , they have an Anything goes challenge.

Later today, I'll be making Christmas decorations with the kids.

More cards from scraps!!!

I'm back with more cards and they are all from scraps!!!

This one is for the challenge over at CRAFT. They want an unusual Christmas Card.

This one is for the challenge at Paperplay. The change is Be Thankful

And here is one of my favorites. This one is for Shelly's . They want to see red and green.

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I went Black Friday shopping with my husband. I think this is the first time I've went. I worked it once over 10 years ago. It felt like being in Highschool, but with shopping carts. It was crowded. We only went to Wal-mart. But we got the kids a bunch of stuff. I like to tally up my total as I go. But I couldn't do that here. To much going on. But we came out ok. A little over what I wanted to spend. But the hubby got me a sewing machine!!! Now I just got to wait until christmas and act surprised for the kids.

I'm not a card maker, but....

I seen this post on Leah's and I had to try it.

Over at Kaboodle the challenge is Baby it's cold outside. And some of my squares say Let it Snow, and the card is blue which is a cold color!. Sundays with Chrissy they want nontraditional christmas colors, Phindy's place is looking for Christmas. And Pile it on wants anything with a 'P', (patterned paper).

I was browsing blogs and seen this sketch,at Sketch Saturday , and over at Papertake weekly they want to see Christmas. And Shelly's has an Anything goes Challenge.

And since I had a mess of paper all ready, why not make another one.

So this one is for Scrapfit , they want to see a Christmas Card.

This one is for Cardmakin Mamas the theme is be Thankful. Weston and Mady helped with this one. Now they are planning on helping afterschool today!

This one is based on a sketch in my Cafemom groups. This one I made this morning before I went and volunteered at school!

Can you believe 5 cards? And it didn't take me days! And they were made out of scraps! Now I just have to figuire out how Leah made her squares on a diagonal.

Funny Faces!

I've had this picture sitting in my workspace for the last week, trying to find a sketch that I like. Well this week at Sketchy Thursday they had the perfect sketch. This also works for Pile it on Be Happy, Charisma Anything goes, and the one hour challenge on the Creating Keepsakes blog was to add a banner.

Anything Goes

Over at Charisma , they are having an Anything Goes Challenge. You can enter anything crafty which works for me, since I do more than just scrapbook. And you can enter up to 3 times! So here is my first entry into the challenge

This is a vest I just finished knitting the other day for my daughter. This yarn is so nice but it's a pain if you drop a stitch because you can't find it. I first started knitting with this a year ago, and my littlest one pulled the needle out. So I put it up. I got it back out, and started it again, but had to make a vest, since Mady had grown.

Another Post!

Wow! I'm impressed with myself, LOL! I usually make a post and then a few months later make another post.

Here's the other LO I told you about the other day.
I found the LO idea for this one in a Simple Scrapbooks. The boys in this picture are now 10 year old!

And here's a sweater I handknitted for one of the teachers at the kids school.

I finally got crafty!

I haven't been in a crafty mood in a very long time. The other day, I was browsing on Ravelry, and I found a cute necklace I just had to make. My 2 girls are fighting over who's necklace it is.

I also made a photo frame. I checked out a library book, Rubbish, reuse your refuse. And I seen this and just had to make one.

It's made out of a pizza box, cereal box, and a map of Florida. Now I just need to find the picture I want to put in it.

Now to keep the mojo going.

I'm Back....

Girl Scout cookie time is almost up. They extended our sale until April 30th. We have around 100 boxes of cookies to sell yet. But the end is near, and I might be able to get crafty again.

Yesterday, Mady and I made some button flowers, for my sickly looking plant. The idea came from Family Fun . Weston gave the plant to me for Mother's Day last year. And it's amazing it's still alive. It's been dropped, tipped, forgotten to water, kids watered it too much.
But here is a picture:

And then today I made some flowers, from scraps of paper and buttons. I got the idea from Creating Keepsakes. They also go with Some Odd Girls challenge, which is to pleat something. Not sure if it will count since I haven't added it to a project, but just had to share. And there challenge only said to pleat something. LOL.

It feels so good to be crafting again!

Spread the Love!

I had a comment on my blog, about winning an award. Which really helped my day. This morning while in town, my van wouldn't start. My husband came out to jumpstart it.. and nothing. So he started cleaning the battery, and one of the cables had corroded off. So this really helped my day. Thank you Jacque

1. If you have been tagged, do you want to accept, then you have to create a post on your blog and post the love blog photo.

2. Choose 3-5 of your favorite blogs to tag, link these in your blog too and tell the lucky people they have been tagged.
Creativity is a great motivator because it makes people interested in what they are doing. Creativity gives hope that there can be a worthwhile idea. Creativity gives the possibility of some sort of achievement to everyone. Creativity makes life more fun and more interesting~ Edward de Bono

1. Christy, I met Christy on some cafemom groups. I love what she can make. She puts up amazing challenges. And has gotten me hooked on mini albums!

2. Leah, I also met Leah on a cafemom group. I just love everything she creates. And she is an amazing person.

3. Kristy , I also know Kristy from cafemom and the Dollies. She is amazing. She has her own business, Some Odd Girl, and the digital stamps are amazing. If I was a digital scrapbooker, I would be buying from her!

4. Adina , I've known Adina for a while. Through cafemom, and then the dollies. She does amazing work.

This is what I've been keeping busy with!

Mady is a Daisy Girl Scout, and I signed up as a leader. Not realizing what I was getting myself into! They just started selling cookies and I believe by the end of the sale (March sometime), I might just be driven insane!!!

I've been writing all kinds of scrapbook challenges done. So hopefully I'll find some me time this weekend and get something done!

Dream a little....

At ScrapFit the challenge is too Dream A Little Dream. Well we are planning a vacation to California for 2012. Don't know if it will happen yet. But it is something I'm dreaming of right now. I used a sketch from one of my Cafemom group challenges.
