Old jeans

With the kids out of school I have to steal little bits of time here and there to craft.

I have a whole bin of old jeans. I started cutting them up into circles using my ruler.

(my phone doesn't take good pictures!)

My plan is to make an I spy quilt for picnics and parades for next summer. I just need to get a bunch of different 5" novelty squares to make this. Any ideas on where to get a whole bunch? If someone would love to Swap, maybe we could set something up....

Yellow

We have been really busy now that school is out. Visited a couple state parks. Brought the kids out to visit relatives, went to a zoo, driver's ed, doctor appointments... Lots going on.

I did manage to get my yellow scraps sorted out.

I didn't have very many pieces to make 6.5" blocks (6" finished). I only managed to get 5!

Yellow

This month for the color for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, is yellow.

Here are my yellow scraps.

I don't have enough here for my 3 solstice 12" blocks. So I don't know what I'm going to do for those....

Green

The month of May was dedicated to the color green over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.

Here's my Green basket.

Than I worked on some 12 1/2" Solstice blocks.

Than I made some 6 1/2" blocks (6" finished)

I than cut the rest of the scraps in this basket into usable sizes.

And here's my now organized green basket.

Now onto June's color, Yellow!

I found a quilted heart!

On one of the girl scout FB pages, somebody posted they found a quilted heart. They shared a link. I followed the link to I found a quilted heart. I thought it sounded like fun. I made a group of hearts, and my 12 year old made the little heart on the top right. Now all we have left to do is go hide them for others to find.
