I completed 7 things off my Q3 list. So why doesn't my list seem any smaller this time around?
1. Scrappy Rainbow stars. I need to piece the chain blocks yet.
2. Splendid Sampler. I have the backing fabric for this, just need to get it pieced to size and quilt this quilt.
3. Panel quilt for my husband for Christmas. Top is pieced except for the borders. I ran out of fabric, so now I need to figure out what to do(picture). And than piece the backing.
4. Knitted Afghan. I haven't touched this, my hand tends to ache everytime I knit, thinking of just giving my mom the yarn..
5.On Ringo Lake, haven't touched this one since last list.
6. Red, white, and black coin quilt, haven't touched since last list.
7.Baby quilt from swap. I did have a pattern picked out for this, just need to find it again!
8. Heart ornaments from FIL's shirts. I made one, only 19 or so to go..
9. I still need to do something with this walking dead fabric.
10.I'm thinking I need to make this pillowcase for my niece for Christmas.
11. Seeing Stars Quilt. Needs backing and to be quilted. My mom is trying to claim this quilt.
12. Rag letters (having a hard time figuring out things that start with the other letters, and than finding fabric. Any ideas?)
13. I'm also making an ABC book with those same I spy fabrics.
14. Jelly Roll Rug. I won this Jelly Roll rug from the Quilters blog festival, and I was thinking a Jelly roll rug, but it has a lot of lighter fabrics in it and I have 5 kids.....
15. Masks for my youngest for Valentine's.
16. A guy that works with my husband is expecting his first baby. They live on a farm. This quilt will be perfect. I have a few of the fabrics for it pulled.
17. Maybe another I spy quilt. I have a lot of fabric.
18. Spooky Wall hanging.
I'm sure there is a few more projects lying around my room, but this is my list for Q4.

3 Tops
Within the last month I've completed almost 3 Tops, the 2 I spy, and the one I need about 5 more inches for the border. I figured I better get quilting.
I bought some super heroes fabric on clearance at Walmart. I bought the rest of the bolt, but it wasn't quite enough to make the back for my son's I spy quilt. As soon as he seen it he got so excited. I did some piecing and now I have a back ready to be quilted.

2108 Q3 FAL
I can't believe it's already July and time to link up a list for Q3.
1-5. Memory bears for my husbands Aunt and kids.
6. Scrappy Rainbow Stars. I made some progress on this one last quarter. I have all the stars done, now I just need to start working on the chain.
7. My Splendid sampler. I did by backing fabric just need to lay it out, baste it and come up with a quilting plan that is doable on my domestic machine.
8. My secret panel quilt for my husband. Have the fabric, just haven't found the time to work on this one.
9. My knitted afghan. (My finger has been giving me alot of trouble again, debating about going back to the Dr. or just dealing with it)
10. On Ringo Lake-haven't even touched this one since last list.
11. An I spy quilt for my son. (last quarter I said I was going to do a ticker tape quilt, after digging out my ticker tape pieces I realized there wasn't much of a variety.) I plan on using the squares I get back from a swap I participated in. They should be back soon.
12. Red, White and Black coin quilt
13. Heart ornaments from the scraps from the memory bears I made from my FIL's shirts.
14. A baby quilt with pieces from a swap I partcipated in a long time ago.
15. I still need to do something with this lopsided Jelly roll race quilt.
16. Make something with this Walking dead fabric I've had for a while.
17. An I spy bag with this collection of random buttons and trinkets.
18. A color book from a bunch of scraps I've accumulated. Going to my youngest niece hopefully for her birthday or Christmas. (picture of some of my pink scraps)

2018 FAL Q2
Here is my list for Q2 of the 2018 Finish-A-Long:
1. Splendid Sampler Quilt-the top for this has been done for quite a while.
2. Panel Quilt-can't show the panel just yet, it's a surprise for my husband.
3.ABC Flash Cards- hope to get these 7 done, and than a few more, I plan on eventually making the whole alphabet plus some extras so my youngest can spell his name and learn some of the letter.
4. Knitted Afghan
5. On Ringo Lake-haven't made much progress on this one-some of it has to do with finding Coral fabric.
6. My little one is begging for another I spy quilt. I think I'm going to take these scraps and make a ticker tape quilt.
7. Rainbow stars quilt-this started out as 6.5" squares from my trimming of scraps last year. I have almost all the stars I need made(I think I need 5 more), than I can start the Irish chain pieces
8. Red, White and Black coin quilt
9. Baby Quilt for Charity- I got these strips along time ago from a swap I was in on FB, we had certain measurements they were supposed to be, but there is a lot of variety in the lengths. I found a pattern just need to get background fabric.
10. A doll quilt-I'm going to have to dig through my 2.5" squares and figure out the colors for this one. I want to practice some quilting and figured a doll quilt would be perfect.
11. Heart ornaments from my FIL shirts(these are scraps from making the 5 bears). Planning on making one for each of his kids, grandkids and greatgrandkids. I think I need 21.
12. Jelly Roll Quilt-need to square this up and quilt it.

Rainbow Cat
I finally finished it. I just needed to add the binding from when I posted on February 8th, that I decided to tie the quilt.
Here's the front:
And the back:
I wanted to take pictures outside, but it looks like this:
This is #6 on my 2018 Q1 FAL list, and #2 on my American Patchwork and Quilting UFO list.

Making progress
During the super bowl, I went upstairs and basted a quilt while my husband was watching the game. Half way through I decided instead of quilting I wanted to tie the quilt. All I have is my home sewing machine and didn't feel like fighting to get it quilted.
It is all tied now just to decide on binding...

Now I know my ABC's
It's finished!!
I started an ABC quilt after seeing Jo's ABC quilts. Here's a link to the letters.
I made the front with all scraps of fabric I had. Last year when I organized my bins and cut small fabric into 1 1/2" squares I wasn't sure I would ever use them. But they worked perfectly for the sashing for this quilt. The batting I used was also a piece I had in my craft room!
For the back I was debating about just piecing a back together, but I seen the airplane fabric at Walmart and bought it. I quilted with an all over stipple, leaving the letters not quilted so they pop a little bit. This is #10 on my UFO list.
